Hi, I'm Glen Spoors, and Wyrdling Arts is a brand of my business site, Lost Isle Media, through which I sell my art.

I'm a Perthite who self-defined as an artist in primary school, but by Year 8 had become alienated from the pretention associated with artists. I continued to draw in service of other creative work, with a few enjoyable relapses, such as doing a sketch a day in a calendar while studying at university, drawing a draft of comic book, drafting a storyboard and character designs for a graphic novel, and a brief experiment with watercolours. However, my technical skills remained about the same.

Fortunately, a few things piqued my interest again: teaching maquette-making with Super Sculpy, discovering charcoal drawing, sketching while playing tabletop roleplaying games, buying a tablet and realising how amazing digital colouring is, and, most recently, having a bevy of talented colleagues who are constantly working on their own projects (SAE Perth). In lieu of that I've started drawing more consistently.

At present I'm working on art for my RPG, Io: Supernatural Fantasy Roleplaying, scanning some old work to prepare for some shirt merchandise, and thinking through some artwork for other projects, i.e. book covers and game design elements.
